On October 8 Joe Lieberman gave a speech in Washington that was ignored (of course) by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and USA Today, and probably most Democrats. It is an excellent summary of how the attitudes of the two parties have changed about foreign policy, back and forth, over the past, from Roosevelt up to the present time. One thing he pointed out, however, was..."whatever domestic politican differences divide us, they must never blind us to the far more profound national security challenges we face together from abroad."
