The news came out a couple days ago that Lowe's had sent out an apology for the "poor proofreading" of their catalog that allowed Christmas trees to be called "family trees". They say that all of their advertising calls Christmas trees Christmas trees.
Now I can understand that using "their" instead of "there" might be missed in proof reading...or " I and my sister" instead of "me and my sister"... but family instead of Christmas???? Seems like a stretch to me!
More like some young PC liberal avoiding "offending someone"???
At least Lowe's had the ...guts?...tact? ...common sense?...to immediately apologize. And I got a letter saying so! :-))
