   No. 1    "Wall of Separation"
         This phrase is not in the Constitution.  It was written by Thomas Jefferson in a letter he wrote to the Danbury Baptist Association in answer to a letter he received from them.

     No. 2  End of racial segregation...Supreme Court Decision:  Oliver Brown et al. vs Board of Education of Topeka.  1954

     No. 3.    Federalist Papers:  A series of papers (85 essays) arguing (to the citizens of New York) for the adoption of the Federal Constitution.
         Written under the pen name Publius by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay.
         Madison considered the "Father of the Constitution" later became President.
         Jay became the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
         Hamilton served in the Cabinet and set economic policy.
     The Federalist Papers are considered one of the most important sources for interpreting and understanding the original intent of the Constitution.
